Planner Position
Eaton's IS AER FMC division is currently seeking a Planner at our Los Angeles, California site location! The LA facility has approximately 300 employees and is a leader in the design, development, manufacture and delivery of Aerospace hydraulic components, systems and services to the global aftermarket and OEM markets.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $82000 - $120000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
What You'll Do:
The Planner performs diversified duties related to MRP planning, scheduling, and expediting components in order to support strategic inventory goals and to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders while maintaining assigned inventory levels. Plans and coordinates future requirements through analysis and interpretation of current production status. Manages and directs priorities for the shop floor for a given product group while supporting the team and plant goals.
In this function you will:
Initiate required documentation and / or system transactions to allocate, internally manufacture or reschedule material as required.
Plan and release work orders as required to meet customer orders while maintaining optimum lead time and inventory level.
Track critical items through SAP system to ensure revenue plan is met and PD continues to drop
Proactively identifies and reports potential problems which will result in missing deadlines, or result in potential quality problems.
Performs clerical duties necessary to maintain work order WIP accuracy.
Drives shortage meetings with a cross functional team and expedites material where required to meet shortfall between current plan and customer order requirements.
Balances current and future demand requirements with manufacturing and supplier capabilities / capacities to ensure on-time completion of customer requirements.
Communicates close with Purchasing Team to ensure uninterrupted flow to support Master Schedule
Create short term schedule to be shared with your value stream and ensure financial projections are understood and are being met
Concentration on OTD, OTR, Aging WIP, PD and QN markers at all times, driving proper actions and behavior within support team.
Working with cross-functional teams to clear up Quality issues and returns to customers (MRB & RMA)
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree from accredited institution required
Minimum 2 years' of experience in supply chain planning, inventory control, purchasing, logistics, stockroom operations, and shipping / receiving
This position requires access to export-controlled information. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must be a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. 1158.
No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate geographical area (50 miles of 90039) will be considered for this position. Active duty military service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation
Preferred:
Experience planning within the Aerospace or Automotive industry
Experience with a MRP system, manufacturing, operations or logistics environment
Strong PC skills, especially in MS Excel
Great written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
Program Management experience and knowledge of MRO business highly desired, but not required
