Job Overview
Location: Good Samaritan Western Ridge – 6949 Good Samaritan Drive, Cincinnati, OH 45247
Work Hours:
- Full Time, 80 hours bi‑weekly
- Night shift
- Weekend and holiday rotation required.
This position is responsible for performing a full range of laboratory tests, confirming the accuracy of results, and reporting findings to physicians, pathologists, or other healthcare providers. The role may rotate through key laboratory areas including Transfusion Services, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology/Immunology, Toxicology, Special Chemistry, and Fibrinolysis. Duties include operating and maintaining laboratory instruments, utilizing the lab computer system, and adhering to established protocols. While the position works under the supervision of a general supervisor or medical technologist, direct supervision is not required for specimen processing, test performance, or result reporting.
Job Requirements
Associate's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or Technology, Chemical or Biological Science (Required)
1–2 years’ experience clinical in a related field (Preferred)
American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) certification or American Medical Technologists (AMT) (Required)
