We are seeking an excellent Locum Physician to provide exceptional wound management coverage in Batavia, Ohio. In this role, you will lead the treatment and management of various wounds, including vascular, pressure, diabetic, surgical, traumatic, and chronic ulcers. Your expertise will be essential in delivering comprehensive care ranging from debridement and skin grafting to hyperbaric oxygen therapy and patient education ensuring optimal outcomes for diverse patient populations. Key responsibilities include assessing and treating complex wounds, implementing preventative strategies, applying topical therapies, and supervising hyperbaric oxygen treatments, all within an outpatient clinic setting.

To excel in this position, candidates must possess strong clinical skills in wound management and excellent patient communication abilities. Experience with electronic health records (preferably Epic) and familiarity with various wound closure techniques are essential. Proficiency in managing acute and chronic wounds, as well as a solid understanding of infection control and healing processes, is required.

Nice-to-have skills include experience with hyperbaric oxygen therapy supervision, skin grafting procedures, and familiarity with negative pressure wound therapy systems. Additional proficiency in interdisciplinary team collaboration and patient education will enhance your effectiveness in this role.

Preferred candidates will hold an active medical license in Ohio, with board certification or eligibility in wound care, vascular medicine, or related specialties. Prior outpatient wound care experience is highly desirable, and candidates must be able to work independently within a collaborative environment.

Other requirements include temporary privileging approval, valid medical licensure, and the ability to travel to the outpatient clinic as needed. The role also offers reimbursement for travel expenses, including flight, mileage at IRS rates, hotel accommodations, and rental cars.
