Job Summary

The measurement system analyst role ensures that all gas volumes flowing through the pipeline system is accurately measured, recorded and reported. This technical and analytical position monitors measurement data, identifies discrepancies and works with field teams to resolve equipment or data issues. The role involves supporting regulatory compliance and preparing accurate volume reports for operational and commercial use and troubleshoots communication or meter problems to help improve data quality and measurement processes.

What You Will Do

Provide entry-level processing, data coordinating, analyzing, and verifying of measurement data. Ensure the accuracy of measurement data used for billing transportation customers, as well as measurements of city borders and receipt meters.

Process, research, compile, verify and prepare information including but not limited to:

Gas measurement database information

Measurement station and meter configuration files

New customer setups, terminations, ownership changes, and supplier changes

Volumes received and delivered files

Exception reports

Contracts

Provide measurement information to support questions from gas suppliers, large-volume customers, employees and others including but not limited to:

Volume and gas analysis information

Measurement corrections/discrepancies

Meter information (On/off reads, pressures, temperatures, calculations, equipment maintenance, etc.)

Verification of volumes

Review and analyze various types of measurement data to resolve discrepancies, maintain integrity of records, and verify volumes in FlowCal, Quorum, Banner, Maximo, Billgen, and MMS.

Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.

Employee may be required to perform additional duties as assigned.

What You Will Need

Preferred Bachelor's Degree in business, mathematics, related field, or a combination of education and the following job-related experience:

Knowledge of measurement functions.

Demonstrated ability to provide measurement data analytics.

Experience in use and function of office equipment applicable to position including computers, photocopiers, and applicable software.

Knowledge with policies, procedures, and use of terminology applicable to the measurement of third party customers' gas.

Experience and training related to:

Gas measurement software and database applications including FlowCal, Quorum, Banner, Maximo, Billgen, and MMS.

Measurement station and meter configuration files

Spreadsheet, and presentation software such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Handling confidential and/or sensitive information

Experience reading and interpreting various types of manuals, forms, publications and reports.

Experience interacting, advising and communicating effectively with internal and external customers.

Experience composing and preparing correspondence and reports.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Demonstrated ability to produce work that is accurate, complete, and timely.

Manage daily and monthly work assignments and meet deadlines.

Read and write fluently in English.

Able to operate office tools and equipment required.

Work stationary for extended periods.

Ability to react immediately to make necessary changes due to meter or equipment configuration changes.

Communicate and exchange information and instructions.

Visual requirements to perform job responsibilities.
