Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
Perform repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems including powertrain, transmissions, suspension, brakes, and electrical components.
Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and alignment machinery to complete repairs efficiently.
Service vehicles with a focus on engine repair (including diesel engines), ADAS calibration, wheel alignments, and general mechanical repairs.
Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems.
Maintain detailed records of repairs performed using auto estimating software.
Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and recommending necessary maintenance services.
Requirements:
Proven dealership experience or service technician experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, electrical systems, powertrain components, transmissions, and vehicle maintenance procedures.
Hands-on experience with GM vehicles is a plus.
Familiarity with ADAS systems calibration and alignment procedures is desirable.
Experience working with schematics, automotive electrical systems, diesel engines, and welding techniques is advantageous.
Prior experience in auto estimating or providing customer service in an automotive setting is beneficial.
Mechanical knowledge combined with proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized automotive equipment is essential.
