In this role, you will perform specialized breast imaging examinations to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease for a hospital facility. Minimum Requirements: Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Mammography (ARRT-M) certification. Valid Nevada state radiologic license prior to start date. Minimum 2 years of mammography technologist experience in a clinical setting. BLS certification. Proficiency operating mammography equipment and mammography unit workflow. Experience producing diagnostic mammograms and assisting radiologists in mammographic procedures. Ability to provide care appropriate to adult and geriatric patients. Willingness to float to other facilities within the organization up to competency level. (Preferred: prior float experience.) Willingness to work variable schedules that may include weekends, holidays, and occasional call shifts; ability to work required major holidays as requested. (Preferred: experience in busy, high-volume imaging departments.) Assignment Details Facility type: Hospital. Shift name: Flex Shifts. Weekly guaranteed hours: 40. Call requirements: No regular on-call; schedule may include some call shifts. Schedule expectations: Variable schedule that can include weekends and holidays; may be required to work 2-3 major holidays and pick up one additional shift during the schedule period. Floating: Travelers may be required to float to meet organizational needs up to competency level. Standard Job Description: Under the supervision of the Manager of the Breast Center, the Mammography Tech produces diagnostic mammograms, assists radiologists and referring physicians in mammographic procedures, and ensures patient care while representing the facility. The role requires technical decision-making to deliver high-quality mammographic images, competency in mammography unit operation, and familiarity with department computer systems. The position serves adult and geriatric patients and may include other duties as needed within the breast imaging service. The facility is a busy, high-volume hospital and serves a large regional population. Schedule varies based on department needs.
