Overview
The Cloud Solutions Architect serves as the technical authority responsible for designing, implementing, and governing cloud-based data warehousing and analytics solutions. This role ensures that cloud architecture is scalable, secure, and aligned with contractual, technical, and performance requirements. The Cloud Solutions Architect brings extensive experience delivering Data Warehousing, Data, and Analytical programs in cloud environments and provides architectural leadership across complex, enterprise-scale initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of cloud-based architectures supporting data warehousing, analytics, and reporting solutions.
- Define cloud architecture patterns, standards, and best practices for data and analytics workloads.
- Translate functional and technical requirements into secure, scalable cloud solutions.
- Oversee integration of cloud data platforms with existing enterprise and hybrid environments.
- Ensure cloud solutions meet performance, availability, security, and compliance requirements.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineers, data architects, and solution teams.
- Support architectural reviews, design sessions, and technical documentation.
- Identify and mitigate architectural risks and technical constraints.
- Collaborate with program management and stakeholders to support successful solution delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience designing and implementing cloud-based solutions for Data Warehousing, Data, and Analytics programs.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- Ability to obtain and maintain required Treasury government clearance.
- Demonstrated experience serving as a solutions or cloud architect on complex technical initiatives.
- Strong expertise in cloud architecture principles, data platforms, and analytics services.
- Proven ability to design scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud solutions.
- Experience working within PWS-driven, contract-based delivery environments.
- Experience with major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Familiarity with data integration, data governance, and analytics frameworks in the cloud.
- Experience supporting hybrid cloud or cloud migration initiatives.
Pay Range: $150,000 USD - $160,000 USD
