Position Summary
Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Manager, the IT Recruiter specializes in sourcing, attracting, and hiring candidates for technical roles such as software engineers, data scientists, and IT professionals. This position screens candidates for both technical skills and cultural fit, coordinates technical interviews, manages candidate pipelines, and guides offer and hiring decisions.

We are seeking an IT Recruiter to partner closely with hiring managers to understand technical requirements, write and post detailed job descriptions, and source talent through niche platforms, networking events, and advanced search techniques. This position stays current with industry trends and emerging technologies, ensuring the organization secures top technical talent to support innovation and growth, alignment with organizational goals, operational excellence, and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

Owns full-cycle recruiting for IT and technical roles, including but not limited to engineers, analysts, infrastructure, data, and IT support positions; and provides support to recruiting efforts for non-technical roles across the organization as hiring priorities shift.

Partners closely with hiring managers to deeply understand role requirements, team dynamics, and short- and long-term business objectives and with HR and cross‑functional teams to support offer development, approvals, and onboarding.

Serves as a trusted advisor to hiring leaders by providing market insights, talent availability data, and hiring recommendations.

Proactively sources, engages, and builds a pipeline of qualified candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter, networking, referrals, and other creative sourcing strategies.

Conducts structured phone screens and interviews to assess technical capabilities, experience, and cultural alignment and coordinates and manages interview processes, ensuring a smooth and positive candidate experience.

Maintains accurate and compliant candidate data, activity tracking, and reporting within the applicant tracking system while monitoring and reporting on recruiting metrics (e.g., time to fill, pipeline health, source effectiveness) to continuously improve hiring outcomes.

Stays current on recruiting trends, labor market conditions, and best practices to inform hiring strategy and process improvements.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in technology, human resources, or related field OR equivalent practical experience (Required).

Licensure/Certification: None.

Experience: 4+ years of related recruiting experience (Required).

Experience recruiting technical roles in fast‑paced, high‑growth, or startup environment (Preferred).

Knowledge of the recruiting process and standard HR or hiring documentation processes (Required).

Knowledge of IT and technical roles, skill sets, and common hiring challenges (Preferred).

Advanced sourcing skills and experience engaging hard‑to‑find talent (Required).

Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills (Required).

Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport quickly (Required).

Strong time management and prioritization skills when handling competing demands (Required).

Ability to demonstrate a professional presence and represent the company well with candidates and hiring leaders (Required).

Ability to take initiative and stay focused while working in a hybrid/remote environment (Required).

Ability to learn new roles, processes, and systems quickly (Required).

Ability to build relationships and partner effectively across teams (Required).

Ability to use systems/technology to track work and stay organized (Required).

Ability to recruit across multiple functions and adapt quickly to changing priorities (Required).

Ability to translate technical requirements into clear, candidate‑friendly language (Required).

Ability to utilize recruiting metrics and take a data‑driven approach to inform decisions (Required).

Ability to collaborate, provide resources, and take a solutions‑oriented approach to problem solving (Required).

Work Environment

Location: Hybrid.

Schedule: 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Monday through Friday with night and weekend hours on occasion as determined by the needs of the business and cross‑facility travel as needed.

Regular meetings with the hiring team, HR department, and leadership to ensure alignment.

Key Essential Functions

Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods while working at a computer for extended periods, including typing, video calls, and using multiple systems.

Must be able to participate in virtual and onsite meetings.
