Overview
Stanbridge University is seeking dedicated Adjunct General Education Faculty to support instruction across core disciplines at multiple campus locations. This evergreen opportunity supports ongoing and future instructional needs within the General Education program. We are actively recruiting faculty with academic and/or instructional experience in Pathophysiology, Anatomy & Physiology, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and related disciplines. Teaching assignments are aligned with subject-matter expertise, program needs, and faculty availability across campuses. Adjunct faculty play a vital role in student success by delivering high-quality, learning-centered instruction in classroom and laboratory environments. Through effective teaching and engagement, faculty help students build the foundational knowledge required for success in healthcare and allied health programs. This role is ideal for educators who are passionate about teaching, supporting diverse learners, and contributing to student success while maintaining flexibility in their schedules.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Deliver on-campus lecture and/or laboratory instruction using approved syllabi and instructional materials
Create a learning-centered environment that promotes engagement and academic success
Plan and prepare instruction aligned with course outcomes and program objectives
Assess student learning and provide timely, constructive feedback
Maintain accurate records, including attendance, grades, and required reports
Administer academic and attendance policies consistently
Demonstrate instructional flexibility and a commitment to student success
Maintain current knowledge of subject matter and instructional best practices
Participate in department meetings and shared governance activities as required
Qualifications
Required
Graduate or terminal degree in a hard science, mathematics, or closely related discipline from an accredited institution
Minimum of fifteen (15) semester credit hours (or equivalent) in the subject area(s) taught
Ability to provide official transcripts demonstrating graduate-level coursework in the subject area(s) taught
Proficiency in educational technology and basic computer applications
Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven academic environment
Preferred
Prior teaching experience with adult learners in higher education
Ability to teach across multiple General Education subject areas
Experience with learning management systems and instructional technology
Student-centered teaching philosophy and strong interpersonal skills

Compensation
$35.00-$50.00 per hour
Compensation is based on education, experience, subject-matter expertise, and internal equity considerations
Work Settings
Instruction may occur in classrooms and laboratory environments depending on course assignment
Faculty who are able to support both lecture and lab instruction are strongly preferred
