
Recruitment, Community Engagement & Professional Development Intern

Assist Recruitment, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Division staff by performing routine functions and assisting with the day-to-day duties.
Help conduct investigations of prospective employees to evaluate suitability for selection. Adhere to the established investigative process to ensure the background investigation is thorough and consistent.
Facilitate and implement all phases of the recruitment process. Assist in educating applicants on the hiring/selection process and serve as a liaison for assigned applicants to mentor throughout their journey to become an employee.
Create and/or attend and participate in job fairs and other recruiting sessions and events.
Assist with identifying external trends and develop best practices to help expand diversity among the workforce. Review FCSO hiring and selection data and related data to assist in planning for recruitment efforts. Attend meetings outside the office, as needed, for diversity coordination and recruitment.
Data entry, answering telephone calls, retrieving information, filing and miscellaneous clerical duties. Organize files and maintains confidential records.
Other duties as assigned.
Current student pursuing an associate’s or bachelor’s degree within Criminal Justice, Business, Management or a related field at an accredited college or university.
Skill and knowledge in using personal computer and related equipment.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
Ability to deal with problems involving few variables in familiar context. Add, subtract, multiply and divide whole number. Sort items into categories according to established methods. Arrange items into numerical or alphabetical order. Work alone at most tasks.
UNUSUAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended or intermittent periods of time.
