$2,139.23 to $2,353.15 biweekly. Actual salary is negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Government Center/Viera. Work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and may include occasional evenings and weekends as required.

Performs, with minimum supervision, the Space Coast Transportation Planning Organization’s (SCTPO) daily financial processes ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements and conducts general contract management work through procurement of services, and the maintaining and monitoring of agreements in support of the SCTPO Board and its committees. Processes vendor invoices for payment, prepares purchase requisitions, and monitors purchase orders and financial reconciliations. Assists with ensuring proper justifications are processed for procurement of goods and services, travel and equipment requests. Responsible for compiling Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Request for Quotes (RFQs) specifications for various transportation planning services and office operational needs. Responsible for the monitoring of contracts and work orders.

Please note that although the SCTPO utilizes certain Brevard County services, such as Human Resources for posting of job openings, the selected candidate for this position will be employed by the Space Coast Transportation Planning Organization, not Brevard County Board of County Commissioners.

Requirements

Associate’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or similar related field, or equivalent.

Detail‑oriented, organized, and experienced working in a Windows environment with Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Prefer at least one (1) year of experience in accounting, finance, or similar; experience with grants; writing Requests for Proposals (RFPs); and working under the requirements of 2 CFR 200. Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be substituted.

Special Requirements

Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver’s license and maintain said license during the term of employment.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full‑time basis. The SCTPO cannot sponsor visas.
