We are seeking a driven accounting professional to oversee and enhance the accounting function for a well-established commercial construction firm. Our team values leadership, accountability, and a hands-on approach to support ongoing growth and long-term success.
Responsibilities
Provide leadership over day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring timely and accurate management of financial processes.
Train, mentor, and develop junior accounting staff, or independently manage all accounting functions as needed to support the organization.
Manage job costing, work-in-progress schedules, and revenue recognition for multiple construction projects, maintaining accuracy and transparency.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements while supporting forecasting, cost control, and project profitability analysis.
Required
5–10+ years of accounting experience within the construction industry.
Advanced proficiency with the latest version of QuickBooks, including the ability to fully navigate and utilize all core features.
Strong command of job costing, work-in-progress reporting, and percentage of completion accounting principles.
Proven ability to operate independently and take complete ownership of the accounting function in a project-based environment.
