
Pantry Assistant

Job Objective
As the Pantry Assistant, you will assist with all activities related to the pantry program in the Family Resource Center and the Mishawaka Food Pantry location, ensuring that the Mission of The Salvation Army is effectively carried out.
Starting pay:
$16.00
Part Time:
25 hours per week
What You Will Do
Support the overall Pantry program
Attend meetings, workshops, or seminars related to pantry issues as required
Mediate clients' needs
Greet and welcome clients
Provide food and accurate referrals about the Salvation Army and community-wide programs
Support other Family Resources Center activities and programs
Other tasks as assigned by leadership
Minimum Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Background Checks: Position requires a background check to be completed. Findings may disqualify an individual for this position.
Certifications: Must have a valid driver's license and maintain The Salvation Army Driver's qualification standard; must complete Safe From Harm training within the first 30 days of employment.
Skills/Abilities
Commitment to serving others and understanding the needs of the surrounding community
Computer literacy, proficiency with Microsoft Office
Level-headedness, resiliency, flexibility, consistency, dependability, compassion
Spanish language proficiency preferred
