Purpose of the Role
Mandelbaum Barrett PC is seeking a motivated
Entry‑Level Litigation Legal Assistant
to join our
Midtown Manhattan office
,
starting after
July 1, 2026
.
This full‑time, in‑person role (Monday–Friday) provides administrative and litigation support to attorneys.
In this role, you will provide support to attorneys across a
range of practice areas
,
gaining hands‑on exposure to civil, corporate, and commercial law. This position is ideal for recent graduates or early‑career professionals with a strong interest in the legal field who want practical experience in a
collaborative, team‑oriented firm
.
Responsibilities
Provide day‑to‑day litigation and administrative support to attorneys.
Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and court filings.
Organize and maintain electronic and physical case files.
Track deadlines, court dates, and case milestones using the firm’s calendaring system.
Coordinate scheduling for depositions, hearings, meetings, and client calls.
Assist with preparing materials for hearings, depositions, and trials.
Communicate professionally with attorneys, staff, court personnel, and vendors.
Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
Support attorneys on additional projects and special assignments as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required.
Open to all candidates meeting the educational requirements; recent college graduates or early‑career professionals with an interest in the legal field are encouraged to apply.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative, team‑oriented environment.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range:
$60,000 – $75,000 annually , commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Eligible for discretionary year‑end bonuses and merit‑based increases.
