
Human Resources Specialist

Seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator. Must have a strong background in trades payroll or similar, including union payroll and prevailing wage compliance. This role is responsible for processing multiple payroll schedules across several companies, ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreements, prevailing wage laws, and company policies. The ideal candidate brings a high level of accuracy, timeliness, maintains strict confidentiality, and demonstrates exceptional attention to detail that is critical to companies payroll operations.
Responsibilities:
Process weekly & bi-weekly payroll across multiple divisions
Prepare and submit certified payroll reports
Maintain accurate payroll records, including job costing, labor allocations, and deductions
Process union payroll in accordance with collective bargaining agreements
Ensure accurate calculation and reporting of prevailing wage rates, fringes, and
Manage payroll data across multiple systems (HH2, Workeasy, BambooHR, Sage MyAssistant), ensuring accuracy and consistency
Resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely manner
Respond to employee payroll inquiries professionally and confidentially
Coordinate with HR and Finance on new hires, terminations, and wage changes
Handle payroll reporting, reconciliations, and year-end processes
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
3+ years of payroll experience
Experience with Sage Timberline (Sage 300 CRE) is a plus or similar
Experience managing multiple payroll schedules simultaneously
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict payroll deadlines
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to work well with others
Some knowledge of union and prevailing wage laws and certified payroll reporting helpful but not required.
