Job Description:
As the HR leader of the manufacturing plant, responsible for strategic HR planning and daily operations to support production efficiency. Must be proficient in U.S. labor laws, have manufacturing industry experience, and demonstrate bilingual (English/Mandarin) communication skills to drive recruitment, employee relations, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources Strategy – Develop and implement HR strategy aligned with plant business objectives, optimize organizational structure and staffing, and analyze labor market trends to design talent acquisition and retention programs.
Recruitment & Staffing – Lead end‑to‑end recruitment of blue‑collar, technical, and management positions, including job posting, interview, background check, and induction, and partner with local community colleges, trade associations, and vocational schools to build talent pipelines.
Employee Relations & Compliance – Handle employee complaints, disputes and ensure compliance with EEO, FLSA, OSHA and other U.S. regulations, promote safety culture, organize training and injury prevention.
Training & Development – Design skills improvement plans such as lean manufacturing, build internal promotion channels, manage performance evaluation system, and coordinate leadership development projects.
Compensation & Benefits – Manage salary structure, overtime policies and benefit plans (e.g., Medicare, 401K), conduct regular salary research, benchmark compensation and recommend adjustments.
Cross‑Cultural Coordination – Act as a liaison between U.S. plant and global HQ to align policies and foster cultural integration.
HRIS Management – Maintain HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, SAP), ensure data accuracy and generate reports.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree or above in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
Experience: 5+ years HR experience in manufacturing (automotive preferred), with in‑depth knowledge of U.S. federal and state labor laws.
Skills: Proficiency in English (Spanish and Chinese preferred), strong proficiency in HRIS (Workday, SAP) and MS Office, excellent data analysis, conflict resolution, and high EQ.
Other: Willingness to travel occasionally to suppliers or headquarters; flexible working hours to cover production shift requirements.
