Description
The IT Systems & Support Specialist provides hands‑on technical support, systems administration, and operational technology assistance across Aalberts hfc North America facilities. This role is responsible for maintaining stable day‑to‑day IT operations for end users, production teams, and business systems, while also supporting system improvements, upgrades, and ongoing IT initiatives.
This position requires strong troubleshooting capability, clear communication, and the ability to operate independently in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment.
Essential Responsibilities
End-User & Desktop Support
Provide Tier 1–2 support for hardware, software, network, and access‑related issues
Configure, deploy, and maintain Windows laptops, desktops, and mobile RF devices
Support Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, and shared resources
Maintain and troubleshoot printers, scanners, and label printing devices
Systems Administration
Administer user accounts, security groups, and permissions across Active Directory and Microsoft 365
Support system access, user provisioning, and security best practices
Network & Infrastructure Support
Troubleshoot basic network issues including switches, Wi‑Fi, and VPN connectivity
Assist with server maintenance and infrastructure tasks under direction of IT leadership
Coordinate with external vendors for hardware repairs and service support
Manufacturing & ERP Support
Support production floor workstations, handheld devices, and shop‑floor systems
Assist with ERP‑related issues including system access, transactions, printing, and workstation setup
Help ensure uptime and reliability of systems critical to production, shipping, and customer delivery
Project & Continuous Improvement
Participate in system upgrades, migrations, and security initiatives
Identify recurring issues and recommend process or technology improvements
Escalate complex issues with clear documentation and recommended next steps
Requirements
Qualifications
2+ years of IT support or systems administration experience
Strong working knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, networking fundamentals, and Active Directory
Experience supporting manufacturing, distribution, or operational environments preferred
Ability to troubleshoot independently and communicate effectively with non‑technical users
Valid driver’s license with ability to travel between local facilities
Preferred Experience
Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)
Familiarity with label printing workflows and production‑floor hardware
Exposure to Windows Server environments (DHCP, DNS, file/print services)
Understanding of endpoint security tools and cybersecurity best practices
Work Environment
Primarily on‑site in Fishers, IN with periodic travel to Bedford, IN
Exposure to office, warehouse, and production environments
Occasional after‑hours support for critical issues or planned maintenance
