Job Description
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for providing strategic and operational HR leadership, direction and expertise for the Growth organization within Media Group. In collaboration with the Director, Human Resources, this person will provide day‑to‑day client support and strategic HR solutions for Growth Strategy, Audience Development, Growth Go‑To‑Market & Operations, Consumer Insights, and Customer Care.
This role will partner closely with business leaders in the areas of talent acquisition, performance management, change management, employee coaching, compensation strategies, succession planning, training & development, rewards & recognition, organizational effectiveness and employee communication. The position requires the ability to operate confidently with senior corporate executives while also staying connected to the day‑to‑day needs of a fast‑paced call center and hourly workforce. It reports to the Director of Human Resources.
Drive key HR initiatives including staffing, performance management, compensation strategies, succession planning, training and development, rewards & recognition, recruitment and retention, organizational effectiveness and employee communication.
Partner with leadership team to align and execute HR strategies in support of business initiatives.
Provide coaching to employees and managers, offering feedback and advice on organizational issues.
In partnership with the HR Director, guide leaders through organizational restructures, partnering on design, communication planning and seamless execution.
Develop and implement change management plans.
Manage complex employee relations matters, reasonable accommodation requests and workplace concerns across corporate teams and the Customer Care call‑center organization.
Conduct thorough, timely and objective employee investigations, ensuring fairness, consistency and alignment with company policies and legal requirements.
Work with managers and talent acquisition on recruitment and retention of internal and external talent.
Mentor and coach junior HR Business Partners, providing guidance, support and development to strengthen HR capabilities across the team.
Work with management to develop and implement training strategies to meet workforce needs.
Uncover, assess and propose opportunities for strategic improvements.
Qualifications
Here You'll Need:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
5+ years relevant HR experience including employee relations and organizational development.
1+ year independently managing complex employee relations matters, including investigations and sensitive workplace issues.
What We'll Look For:
1+ year in an HRBP Manager role preferred.
1+ year working directly with a high‑volume hourly workforce, providing guidance and support on day‑to‑day employee needs.
Trusted business partner with strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and critical thinking skills, ability to bring an informed perspective to discussions.
Ability to balance business needs with empathy, ensuring decisions support both operational goals and employee well‑being.
Experience supporting client groups through business reorganization and culture transformation.
Takes ownership; able to establish self as a “go‑to” HR resource.
Excellent leadership, problem‑solving, project management and presentation skills.
Ability to analyze data and use data to tell a story.
Ability to work independently, juggle priorities and manage time to effectively meet deadlines.
Hybrid
This position currently has a hybrid schedule, requiring contribution from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in‑office requirements at any time.
Benefits
This position is eligible for company‑sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement and a variety of other discounts and perks. Salary range: $95,000 – $110,000 (bonus eligible).
