Overview
Full-Time | Direct Hire | Pay: $105-130K DOE. Our client, a law firm located in Providence, is seeking a Civil Litigation Associate with 1-3 years of experience to join their growing litigation team. This position offers hands-on responsibility, mentorship, and exposure to complex, high-stakes litigation within a well-established regional firm. Attorneys in this role will take ownership of cases while working closely with experienced partners in a collaborative environment that supports long-term growth.
What You’ll Do
Manage civil litigation matters from inception through resolution
Conduct depositions (taking and defending)
Handle discovery, case strategy, and motion practice
Draft and argue dispositive motions
Perform legal research and support trial preparation
Collaborate with partners on complex litigation strategy
What We’re Looking For
1–3 years of civil litigation experience
Admission to the Rhode Island Bar required
Experience in RI state and federal courts preferred
Strong writing, research, and advocacy skills
Experience with depositions and discovery strongly preferred
Self-starter with strong litigation instincts
