A growing, sophisticated law firm is seeking a
Senior Litigation Attorney
to join its expanding New York litigation practice. This role is ideal for a litigation professional who enjoys owning cases, developing strategy, and working directly with clients while collaborating with a highly experienced team.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage complex commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution
Handle disputes involving real estate, construction, and other commercial sectors
Draft and argue dispositive and non-dispositive motions
Take and defend depositions and oversee discovery strategy and execution
Appear in court for conferences, hearings, and motion practice
Develop case strategy and advise clients on risk, exposure, and resolution options
Negotiate settlements and represent clients in mediation or court proceedings
Oversee junior attorneys and contribute to team development
Collaborate across practice areas on multifaceted matters
Qualifications:
J.D. from an accredited law school
Active admission to the New York Bar (required)
New Jersey Bar admission is a plus
8 - 12 years of commercial litigation experience
Strong background in complex commercial, real estate, or construction disputes
Demonstrated experience managing cases independently and interacting directly with clients
Proven ability to handle motion practice, depositions, and discovery at a high level

Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
Strategic thinker with the ability to drive case direction
Experience supervising or mentoring junior attorneys
Comfortable managing multiple active matters simultaneously
High level of professionalism with a client-focused mindset
Experience with e-discovery platforms (e.g., Relativity) is a plus
Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive base salary: $165,000 $190,000 (depending on experience and portable business)
