We are seeking an experienced Plant Controller to lead all financial operations within a high-volume metals manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for driving financial performance, ensuring accurate reporting, and partnering with plant leadership to support operational and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all plant-level accounting and financial activities for a facility generating $100M+ in annual revenue
Lead the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with corporate and GAAP standards
Develop, analyze, and report on standard costs, variances, and manufacturing KPIs
Partner with operations to drive cost reduction initiatives and improve plant profitability
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes for the plant
Ensure strong internal controls and support audits as needed
Provide financial insights and recommendations to plant leadership team
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience within
metals manufacturing
Proven experience as a Plant Controller or senior finance leader in a manufacturing environment
Strong cost accounting background, including standard costing and variance analysis
Demonstrated success managing financials for a facility with
$100M+ in revenue
Deep expertise in
month-end close
processes
Experience working closely with plant operations teams
ERP system experience (SAP, Oracle, or similar preferred)
