Title: Aerospace Zinc Nickel Assistant - 3rd Shift
Reports to: Shift Supervisor or Value Stream Manager
Location: Kent, WA - onsite
Employment Type: Non-Exempt, Full-Time
Schedule
3rd Shift (Sunday - Friday, 10:00 p.m. - 6:30 a.m.)
Hytek production is open 24 hours per day. Normal Shifts are as follows: 1st shift (Monday - Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.), 2nd shift (Monday - Friday, 2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.), 3rd shift (Sunday - Friday, 10:00 p.m. - 6:30 a.m.).

$22.10 - $31.10 per hour.
Position Summary
This position is responsible for using a variety of methods to prepare parts for plating through the Zinc Nickel department.
Zinc Nickel Assistants may be required to join the FAA DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Program. Shot Peen Inspectors perform operations in accordance with Military, Industry, and OEM specifications.
FAA DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Program requires an initial pre-employment drug test (including a screen for THC) and quarterly Drug & BAT testing.

Key Responsibilities
Work closely with experienced Plating Operators to complete work and prioritize tasks for on‑time delivery.
Follow technique cards, customer purchase orders, drawings, and instructions from experienced Plating Operators.
Prepare parts prior to operations; use proper tooling and fixtures when applicable.
Legibly sign off on work once completed after Operator Self‑Verification inspection.
General review of paperwork and Operator Self‑Verification inspection of the job to ensure all previous operations were completed; notify supervisor and Quality Assurance of any errors.
Understand pre‑ and post‑cleaning surface finish requirements.
Be familiar with Quality Assurance requirements and rework procedures.
Be familiar with engineering drawing notations.
Be familiar with safety precautions and know how to avoid injury to personnel.
Actively participate in continuous improvement activities to drive positive change in productivity, delivery, and service; be involved in Kaizen events as needed.
Maintain the highest ethical standards, even when challenged from above.
Other duties as assigned.
