Loan Partner 2 (LP2) Overview
We are seeking a driven and detail‑oriented Loan Partner 2 (LP2) who will manage borrower pre‑qualification, pre‑approvals, and pipeline execution for a high‑performing mortgage team. The LP2 ensures loans are structured properly, communicated clearly, and closed on time while delivering a concierge‑level experience to borrowers and referral partners. The role works closely with the Loan Officer, borrowers, processors, underwriters, and third‑party partners to maintain 95 %+ on‑time closings.
Responsibilities
Pre‑qualify
Serve as an available resource for referral partners.
Engage in soft qualification conversations to assess general borrower readiness and scenario viability.
Answer referral partner questions regarding condo warrantability, bank‑statement borrower scenarios, recasting, and general loan structure.
Communicate effectively with all referral partners—Realtors, financial advisors, builders, and other partners—using clear, accurate, and compliant language.
Pre‑approve
Accurately pre‑approve qualified borrowers.
Prepare payment and scenario requests.
Proactively engage pre‑approved buyers.
Communicate approval terms clearly to borrowers and notify Realtors immediately after issuing approvals.
Expedite rush pre‑approval requests and flag red flags to the LO or team captain.
Dedicate weekly time to proactive pre‑approval outreach.
Pipeline Management
Onboard all new contracts for rate‑lock consultation.
Submit applications for processing and disclosure.
Execute borrower updates, pre‑closing and funding calls.
Ensure 95 %+ of loans close on time and resolve 95 %+ of loan issues prior to LO escalation.
Perform daily pipeline gauge checks, attend pipeline meetings, and review milestone reviews.
Deliver consistent borrower and Realtor updates, review closing disclosures, conduct pre‑closing and congratulatory funding calls, and provide post‑closing support and urgent after‑hours assistance.
Additional Role Expectations
Maintain high professionalism in all written and verbal communication.
Act as a concierge between borrowers and business partners.
Consistently exceed borrower and referral partner expectations.
Qualifications
Active NMLS license required.
Minimum 5 years experience as a mortgage loan officer assistant, processor, underwriter, or originator.
Proficiency in DU/DO, LP, and investor guidelines.
Experience with major LOS platforms.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organization, prioritization, and time‑management.
Ability to collaborate across departments.
Completion of regulatory and compliance training.
Compensation
$60,000 per year plus bonus.
