Role Overview
This co‑op role is designed to accelerate Vertex’s early talent strategy by blending operational excellence, technology innovation, and candidate‑centric design. You will partner with the Early and Emerging Talent and TA Operations teams to enhance the student, intern, and co‑op candidate experience while supporting scalable, future‑ready recruitment practices.
Rotation‑Based Experience
Early and Emerging Talent Focus
Map the end‑to‑end candidate journey for interns and co‑ops, from attraction through onboarding.
Support campus and emerging talent engagement initiatives, including alumni and community‑building efforts.
Design and analyze feedback mechanisms to continuously improve candidate and program experience.
TA Operations Focus
Partner on TA tech stack optimization (e.g., Workday enhancements, scheduling automation).
Explore and pilot AI‑enabled recruiting solutions (chatbots, insights tools, automation).
Support process documentation and standardization to enable scale and consistency.
Key Projects & Deliverables
Early and Emerging Talent Community Building
Design and launch LinkedIn communities for current and former interns, co‑ops, and early and emerging hires.
Create engagement strategies that sustain relationships beyond program completion.
School & Market Insights Strategy
Develop a targeted list of priority schools informed by demand planning, market intelligence (e.g., Veris, GTI), and emerging AI‑enabled insights.
Translate data into actionable recommendations for campus strategy.
Candidate Journey Mapping
Produce a comprehensive candidate journey map for interns and co‑ops, identifying moments that matter, friction points, and improvement opportunities.
Metrics, Reporting & Dashboards
Build dashboards to track experience and operational metrics (e.g., proof of niche skills, candidate NPS, conversion rates, performance and retention).
Partner with TA Ops to standardize reporting and storytelling.
TA Ops: AI & Future of Work Enablement
Pilot AI‑enabled tools that enhance the candidate experience (e.g., scheduling automation, FAQ chatbots).
Contribute to the development of a 2026‑2027 Generational Workforce Augmentation AI Framework and Playbook.
Learning Outcomes
Hands‑on experience in enterprise TA Operations and Early Talent strategy.
Tangible deliverables used by the Talent Acquisition team.
Exposure to AI, automation, and data‑driven recruiting practices.
A strong professional network within Vertex’s TA and HR community.
Requirements
Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Human Resources, Business, Analytics, Psychology, Communications, or another related field.
Strong interest in talent acquisition, people operations, and the future of work.
Curiosity about technology, data, and AI‑enabled solutions.
Ability to think critically, synthesize insights, and communicate recommendations clearly.
Experience with analytics, dashboards, or reporting tools preferred.
Familiarity with LinkedIn, employer branding, or community building preferred.
Comfort experimenting with new tools, platforms, and AI capabilities preferred.

Must be enrolled in an advanced degree program if graduating before December 2026.
Must be available to work full‑time, 40 hours per week from July – December 2026.
