Employment:

Full Time – 40 hours per week. Base rate $45.00 per hour. 41 paid days off per year.

Established in 2017, the Department of Juvenile Justice Health Services was created through collaboration between Augusta University Health System and the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice to provide high‑quality health services to justice‑involved youth in 25 facilities.

Responsibilities

Performs manager job responsibilities with minimal supervision, directing and advising staff regarding patient care, work performance, problem‑solving, and decision‑making.

Serves as job expert and organization resource in assigned areas, continuously planning, organizing, coordinating, monitoring, and evaluating patient care.

Ensures care plans for each patient adhere to applicable policies and procedures.

Monitors work of staff to ensure treatments, medications, and diagnostic tests are expeditiously carried out and properly recorded.

Supervises support staff or employees, defines goals, communicates progress, provides feedback, and evaluates employees at scheduled intervals.

Maintains accurate, detailed reports and client records.

Required Qualifications

Associates or Bachelors’ Degree in Nursing with at least 3 years of management or supervisory experience in an administrative or clinical setting; 1 year of experience in a correctional setting preferred.

Security Clearance by the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice.

Preferred Experience
Previous correctional experience and at least 2 years of experience in a clinical setting.

Conditions of Employment
