General Activities Therapist 2
Location: Indian River Juvenile Correctional Facility, Massillon, Ohio.
Responsibilities
Serve in an instructional capacity for youth and plan and implement recreational activities.
Serve as a member of the interdisciplinary team; recommend group and/or individual treatment goals and activities; prepare and maintain reports for the treatment team regarding behavior and progress.
Prepare the weekly activity schedule and maintain inventory records of equipment and materials.
Qualifications
30 months experience with coaching, personal training, or fitness instruction, or 30 months experience providing work direction to incarcerated persons, training, or development.
Or completion of associate degree in recreation and 12 months experience in activity therapy or recreation.
Or completion of undergraduate core program in recreation and 6 months experience in activity therapy or recreation.
Or 6 months experience as General Activities Therapist 1 (44211).
Or equivalent of the minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.
