Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant – Inpatient Diabetes & Glycemic Management (Non-ICU)

GlyCare is a hospital‑based group practice specializing in inpatient diabetes and glycemic management. Our Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants deliver protocol‑driven, evidence‑based care to hospitalized adults on Med‑Surg and Step‑Down units (non‑ICU), with endocrinology support.

Specialty training provided – no diabetes background required
Predictable block schedules
Full‑Time: Monday – Wednesday + every other weekend (~ 16 shifts per month)
100% employer‑paid PPO health insurance
The company offers a 401(k) matching contribution equal to 50% of each 1% you contribute, up to a maximum of 6% of your eligible compensation.

What You’ll Do
Provide consultative inpatient diabetes/glycemic management (non‑ICU)
Independently round using established protocols
Manage ~25 patients/day
Participate in rotating phone‑only after‑hours call
Qualifications
Active, unrestricted Alabama NP or PA license
NP: FNP, AGNP, or ACNP | PA‑C
Inpatient experience required
EMR proficiency
New grads welcome
DEA not required
Minimum 1‑year contract commitment
