Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients while ensuring their comfort and safety. This role requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient education and hygiene.
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and assessments, including scaling and polishing teeth.
Take and record vital signs to monitor patient health before procedures.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient treatments.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Implement aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for patients.
Conduct infection control measures in compliance with health regulations.
Review documentation for accuracy and completeness prior to patient appointments.
Provide care for pediatric patients, ensuring a positive experience for children in the dental office.
Skills
Proficient in taking vital signs and understanding their significance in dental care.
Experience with Open Dental preferrable but is not required.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
Familiarity with general dentistry practices and procedures.
Ability to manage medical records efficiently while ensuring confidentiality.
Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred but not required.
Attention to detail in documentation review and compliance with infection control protocols.
1 year of experience required.
Pay
$50-$60 per hour
Monthly Bonus Structure
$55.00 - $59.00 per hour
