Position Description
The College of Liberal Arts seeks to develop a pool of candidates for temporary
ontenured faculty to teach in Psychology. Temporary
ontenured faculty are appointed to teach one to four courses per semester. Teaching appointments are based upon student demand on a semester‑by‑semester basis. Eligibility for annual reappointment is contingent upon satisfactory annual performance evaluations during the term period, in addition to continuity of funding and departmental need. Successful candidates may teach at the San Marcos and Round Rock campuses and/or online, depending on the needs of the academic department.
This posting is for the fall 2025, spring 2026, and/or summer 2025/2026 semesters. Applicants applying for a pool faculty position will be available to the departmental search committee for consideration in case the need arises.

Required Qualifications

Minimum of a master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in the teaching field.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous teaching experience.
