Cable Assembler

The Cable Assembler is responsible for assembling, testing, and inspecting cable and wire harness assemblies in accordance with company specifications, engineering drawings, and quality standards. This role requires hands‑on experience with crimping tools, soldering techniques, and the ability to accurately read and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams.

Key Responsibilities

Assemble cable and wire harness components according to work instructions, blueprints, and schematics

Perform

crimping operations using hand tools

to attach terminals and connectors

Execute

precision soldering

on wires, connectors, and electronic components

Read and interpret

schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings

to ensure proper assembly

Inspect completed assemblies for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications

Conduct continuity and basic electrical testing as required

Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety standards

Follow all company procedures, quality standards, and production timelines

Identify and report defects or inconsistencies in materials or processes

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required

1+ years of experience in cable assembly, electronics assembly, or a related field preferred

Experience with

hand tools for crimping and wire preparation

Proficiency in

soldering techniques

(IPC certification a plus)

Ability to read and interpret

schematics and wiring diagrams

Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity

Basic understanding of electrical principles and testing equipment is a plus

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit or stand for extended periods

Manual dexterity to handle small components and tools

Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally

Good vision (with or without correction) for detailed work

Manufacturing or production floor environment

Exposure to standard assembly tools and materials

May require use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
