Overview
Job Description: Basic Function of the Job. Provide preventative maintenance, repair, installation, testing, and calibration of production equipment throughout the factory including facilities equipment. Troubleshoot equipment problems with respect to mechanical and electrical areas, down to the individual component level. Perform routine periodic testing of equipment to ensure key components function properly. Work with engineers and production personnel to optimize equipment uptime. Keep and maintain records for equipment repair/preventive maintenance. Scheduling of preventive maintenance procedures and records. Perform minor facility repairs including plumbing and electrical.

Education
High School diploma or equivalent
Technical AA degree in general engineering or equivalent industrial experience
Experience
2+ years applicable experience in a manufacturing setting related to repair and maintenance of production and testing equipment using power tools, lifting, and measurement/diagnostic tools
Understanding of technical drawing and basic engineering principles to repair and maintain production equipment
Experience in mechanical and technical troubleshooting of equipment problems
Hands-on and direct approach to problems and needs of production demand
Work as part of a team to perform testing, including data analysis for equipment performance
Experience with networked PC-based computer systems
Special Skills
Ability to anticipate and handle multiple priorities and complex/abstract issues under time constraints
Ability to identify required parts and locate suppliers for repair/maintenance
Responsible for high accuracy and organization
Ability to work in a cross-cultural, team-based environment

Somewhat undesirable working conditions. Exposed to noise, dust, heat, oil or other elements but not continuously
Mental/Visual Demand: Flow of work and duties involve constant normal mental and visual demand, with manual coordination for over 50% of the time
Supervision: Under immediate supervisor with assignments
Maintenance & Workload Elements
Preventive maintenance of equipment – 60%
Preventive maintenance performed on time with no extensions
Maintenance scheduling conflicts resolved without interrupting production capacity
Parts and supplies obtained prior to preventive maintenance due date
Communication with production personnel for feedback on equipment performance and maintenance feedback
Identify opportunities for better utilization of equipment and bring to attention of area process engineers, supervisors or operators
Review equipment maintenance history to update the schedule
Repair of broken equipment
Equipment – 10%: Respond to breakdowns promptly, source spare parts, perform hands-on repair with operator cooperation, document repairs clearly, ensure quality repairs without repeated failures
Design and modification of production equipment for improvement – 10%
Maintain maintenance shop facilities for design/implementation of new equipment; modify production equipment for safe operation and productivity
Installation of new equipment, operation handover and operator training
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure availability of spare parts
Documentation & Business – 10%: Maintain preventive maintenance records, support ISO9001 compliance and continuous improvement activities
Organize & Clean – 5%: Keep work area tidy, follow safety rules, report safety concerns
Human Resources / Administrative – 10%: ESGP co-development, accurate records, compliance with safety, environmental, and quality procedures
Special Assignments – 5%: Attend meetings/training, support projects, report on projects
Working Conditions
Training period will be Monday to Friday 6:00am to 2:30pm and will move to a night/weekend shift.
