Seeking a locum BC UroHospitalist. 2025 Dates Available: 6a-6a
November 24–December 1
December 11–12
Responsibilities
Rounding on in-patients, performing procedures as needed, and responding to consults as called upon
24-hour call coverage included
No APP support on weekends
Unit and patient load
Census for the unit typically grows to 20–25 over the weekend, with 15–20 consults each weekend.
Procedures and scope
Standard urology procedures include: stone care, stents, catheters, cystoscopes, torsions (pediatrics included), incidental appendectomy, adrenal surgery, hernia repair, endourology procedures, hand-assisted laparoscopic nephrectomy, etc.
Must be comfortable with trauma/open procedures (e.g., gunshot wounds involving kidneys or testicles, stab wounds, bladder repair, etc.).
Facility
Level I Trauma Center that is very busy and large.
