
Medical Assistant/Patient Service Specialist in Mesa

Responsibilities
Provides exceptionally friendly customer service to every patient.
Manages the office phone system: answering calls, transferring calls, and answering patients’ questions.
Responsible for initial patient intake, including checking vital signs, establishing reason for visit, and ensuring patient's EMS information
otes are accurate.
Collect co-payments from patients at check-in.
Working with insurance companies, obtaining referrals, prior authorizations, etc.
Assisting with medical treatments and procedures as needed.
Following up with patients on test results, post-procedure instructions, etc.
Ordering and managing office/clinical supplies.
Assist with any miscellaneous tasks to ensure the practice is presentable to incoming patients.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Certification from an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
Experience with EMS.
Able to work on your feet for extended periods of time.
