Clinical and Translational Research Coordinator at Mass General Brigham Cancer Institute- FadenResearchLab
A full‑time position is available in the Faden Lab at Mass General Brigham Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School. The Faden Lab develops liquid biopsy technologies to improve cancer detection, monitoring, and treatment strategies—advancing personalized care for head and neck cancer patients. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our dynamic team to support clinical research efforts, including patient enrollment, biospecimen collection, and data management. This position is best suited for meticulous individuals with an interest in gaining experience in cancer studies from both clinical and research perspectives, including collaborating with experts across Harvard‑affiliated institutions, engaging with an academic research community, and being exposed to clinical trials and translational research.
Essential Responsibilities and Functions
Interacting with cancer patients to perform consents, facilitate blood draws and collect data
Assisting with collecting specimens following surgery/biopsy/blood draw
Processing tissue, blood and fluids for research use and storage
Managing specimen and clinical databases, extracting study data from patient charts
Assisting with subject screening, recruitment, and study enrollment
Participating in clinical and research meetings to assist the Headand Neck Cancer Team in conducting research studies and clinical trials.
Assisting with maintaining day‑to‑day lab operations and ordering lab supplies.
Assisting in administrative tasks, such as onboarding of new members and organizing materials for lab meetings
Participation in additional lab research activities, if interested.
Required Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in biology or related field
Research experience (1+ year preferred)
Interest and ability to work and communicate with cancer patients
An understanding of database management and Excel
Strong organization and data management skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Detail‑oriented and able to work independently and problem‑solve
Experience coding
2‑year commitment preferred. Availability to start June 2026
