Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Heavy Equipment Component Rebuilder to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for disassembling, inspecting, repairing, and rebuilding major components of heavy equipment, including engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and final drives. This position is ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude who takes pride in restoring equipment to peak performance.
Key Responsibilities
Disassemble and rebuild heavy equipment components according to manufacturer specifications
Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
Inspect parts for wear, damage, and tolerance levels
Repair or replace defective components using proper tools and techniques
Maintain accurate service records and documentation
Ensure all rebuilt components meet quality and safety standards
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete jobs efficiently
Keep work area clean and organized, following all safety protocols
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (technical or trade school preferred)
2+ years of experience in heavy equipment repair or component rebuilding
Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and powertrain systems
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
Proficiency with hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and shop equipment
Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a shop environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with brands such as CAT, Komatsu, John Deere, or similar
Welding experience is a plus
