RN Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:
Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Full-time position with 2 open positions available
Must have pediatric cardiac experience with chest tubes, pacing wires, ventilators, and vasoactive infusions
Provide routine and complex care for pediatric cardiovascular patients
Utilize nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation
Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided
Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers
Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers
Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
One year of Critical Care experience preferred but will accept new graduates
Required certifications: Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA only)
RN License in Texas or compact state required
Must attend New Nurses Orientation within first 30 days
Complete organizational entry competency validation and Critical Care Department-specific competency validation
Temporary to permanent position possible
