
REGISTERED NURSE

The Registered Nurse is responsible for overseeing all aspects of medical care for those individuals RHD provides services.
Position Description
Essential Duties and Functions: Act as part of a multidisciplinary team designed to provide services from a holistic and values‑based perspective. Manage the ordering, delivery, storage and administration of medications for the persons served in accordance with the specific program/service. Provide education to both persons served and staff regarding common health concerns. Provide training to staff as required or requested in order to best meet the needs of persons served. Assess and respond to new, potential or ongoing health issues in persons served. Complete documentation as required by RHD, funder/licensing/accreditation bodies.
Direct Duties
Administer medication as prescribed by the physician of record to all consumers within the program(s) to which they are assigned.
Obtain accurate vital statistics (height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respirations, etc.) for purposes of effective treatment.
Assess and respond to new, potential or ongoing health issues in persons served.
Administrative
Act as part of a multidisciplinary team designed to provide services from a holistic and values‑based perspective.

Training and Development

Job Qualifications and Competencies
Education and Experience
A graduate of a school of professional Nursing (AD, hospital, or BSN); BSN preferred.
Current license to practice in the state of operation
