Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Digital Print Operator to support the production of high-quality book covers using Ricoh cut-sheet digital presses and sheet laminating equipment. This role is ideal for candidates with prior digital print experience who are eager to learn new equipment and grow within a fast-paced production environment.
Schedule
Monday to Friday: 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
Responsibilities
Digital Press Operation
Operate Ricoh cut-sheet digital press for book cover production
Set up jobs according to work orders and customer specifications
Monitor print quality, color consistency, and registration throughout production
Laminating & Finishing
Operate sheet laminator to apply finishes to printed covers
Ensure proper adhesion, alignment, and overall product quality
Inspect finished materials for defects and consistency
Quality Control
Perform routine quality checks during production runs
Troubleshoot print or finishing issues and make necessary adjustments
Maintain high standards to meet customer expectations
Workflow Coordination
Read and interpret job tickets and production schedules
Work closely with prepress, bindery, and production teams
Maintain efficiency to meet deadlines and production goals
Equipment Maintenance
Perform basic maintenance and cleaning on press and laminating equipment
Report mechanical issues to maintenance team as needed
Safety & Organization
Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications
Previous digital print experience required (Ricoh experience a plus)
Willingness to learn new equipment and processes
Strong attention to detail and quality
Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
Team-oriented with strong communication skills
