Mid-Level Family Law Associate Attorney (3–5 Years’ Experience) Family Law Experience a Must. Our boutique Divorce / Family Law Firm is presently hiring an Experienced Family Law Litigation Associate looking to advance their career in a team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will have trial advocacy training. Students who attended evening law school are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
Maintain the minimum billable hour requirement;
Provide compassionate legal services to clients in all forms of family law matters, including divorce, equitable distribution, custody, support, step-parent adoptions. Our office also provides services for Name Changes and Estate Planning matters;
Draft legal pleadings and documents as well as researching of local rules and case law;
Represent clients in Court for conferences, hearings and trials;
Timely respond to all client telephone calls and emails within the contractual obligation set forth in the Firm’s Engagement Letter;
Oversee the timeline and presentation of service of discovery and preparation of discovery responses;
Exhibit unwavering professionalism and ethical integrity.
Qualifications
JD from an accredited law school and an active member in good standing of the Pennsylvania Bar.
Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
Is able to manage multiple cases with strict deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
It is expected that the Associate will
Participate in CLEs in order to fine-tune litigation skills and techniques;
Enroll and attend meetings with the local Bar Association;
Endeavor to become a published author in his/her field;
Attend professional conferences.
