Job Description
A thriving Bay Shore, New York, law practice is seeking full-time, experienced attorneys to join its team. The firm is presently seeking attorneys to join its litigation, personal injury and matrimonial and family law groups.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Candidates should possess the following experience in either litigation, personal injury or matrimonial / family law matters, or a combination thereof:
Client interaction and intake
Case management and review
Interview of clients and witnesses
Review pleadings, motions, discovery, and related case evidence
Legal research and writing, prepare and oppose motions, pleadings and discovery
Conduct depositions, hearings and trials
Attend court appearances
Negotiate dispositions and/or settlements
Qualifications/Skills:
Juris Doctorate Degree from an accredited Law School
Admission to the New York State Bar (Required)
Federal admission for litigation and criminal law candidates (Preferred)
Min. 3 to 5 years' experience in the practice area (Preferred)
Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
Working knowledge of laws and procedures
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
Salary Range: $75,000 - $125,000, plus commissions and other benefits, commensurate with experience
