We are seeking two cellar interns for our 2026 harvest season starting in July or August and ending in September. What the Cellar Intern Does
As a cellar intern, you’ll be an integral member of the winemaking team for Harvest 2026. Whether you have a personal interest in wine or are just starting your winemaking career, you’ll have the opportunity to learn about the winemaking process from start to finish. Working with our winemaking team at our historic Los Gatos site Monday through Friday (some weekends as needed), the day‑to‑day may include:
Learning and developing skills required for the wine‑making process
Sanitizing cellar area, equipment, and tanks
Performing cellar activities such as punch‑downs, pump‑overs, racking, drains, barrel filling
Preparing for bottling: prepping, barrel prep and racking, transferring wine
Packaging bottles: loading bottles, packaging, shipping, and quality checks
Requirements
High school diploma required, and college degree or pursuit of degree preferred
Previous cellar experience or winery experience is a plus but not required
Effective communication
Ability to work well as a team and contribute to group tasks independently
Passion for wineCommitment to safety
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently
Ability to stand for the duration of the shift
Repetitive motions: lifting, reaching, grabbing, climbing stairs, kneeling, and twisting
Work typically performed both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions and temperatures
