Associate Operating Room Assistant - Surgery General

Description
Under the general supervision of the Clinical Nurse Manager, the Operating Room Assistant/orderly performs a variety of activities such as scheduling, transporting patients, cleaning functions, assists with room turnover, assists with maintaining and stocking supplies, collects specimens, runs errands; and provides work direction and training to other staff assigned to sterile processing. Must be detail oriented and organized with the ability to work in a fast paced environment.
Responsibilities
Schedule, transport patients, and support cleaning functions in the operating room
Assist with room turnover and maintaining/stocking supplies
Collect specimens and run errands as needed
Provide work direction and training to staff assigned to sterile processing
Maintain attention to detail and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications:
Healthcare experience
Housekeeping experience
