Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Registered Nurse (RN) at Dolly Parton Children’s Hospital, located in Knoxville, TN. Key responsibilities include delivering compassionate and professional pediatric care, documenting patient information, assisting in medical procedures, administering medications, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. The role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.
Qualifications
Relevant clinical certifications (CMA, LPN, or RN) and valid licensure to practice in the state of Tennessee
Hands-on experience in pediatric healthcare, including patient assessment, care planning, and treatment implementation
Strong documentation, record-keeping, and attention to detail skills
Proficiency in medical procedures such as administering injections, taking vital signs, and assisting in diagnostic processes
Effective communication skills and the ability to provide empathetic, patient-centered care
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and in a fast-paced environment
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required; other certifications in pediatric care are a plus
Previous experience in a hospital setting is preferred but not mandatory
