PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Escort patients to and from exam rooms, offices, and treatment rooms.
Maintain patient flow and accurately record patient data into his or her chart.
Administer subcutaneous and intramuscular injections.
Obtain blood specimens from peripheral sites.
Submit patient prescriptions.
Requests and evaluates lab tests.
Schedule tests, procedures, hospital admissions, and appointments.
Maintain strict confidentiality.
Follow all organizational policies and procedures.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must be a graduate from a recognized certified and/or registered medical assistant program or an approved school of nursing.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION
Certificate as a certified or registered medical assistant or licensed in the state of employment.
