Job Summary
Loenbro is looking for Journeyman Electricians in the Cheyenne, WY area. This is a project position for candidates who have a passion for safety, an initiative-taker, and who have experience in a heavy commercial and industrial environment. The Journeyman Electrician will work independently or as part of a team which will be responsible for the installation, start‑up, troubleshooting, commissioning, and servicing of industrial equipment and systems.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Perform installations, startups, troubleshooting, commissioning, and preventative maintenance for electrical systems per drawings and codes.
Execute First Time Energization (FTE), switching, Auto LOTO, load‑bank connections/removals, and Level 3–5 commissioning support.
Read and interpret blueprints, one‑line diagrams, schematics, and installation plans; lay out conduit, cable tray, and devices.
Follow approved Methods of Procedure (MOPs) and company safety protocols; maintain accurate work records and service documentation.
Support and mentor apprentices; coordinate with Foreman, Superintendents, project management, and clients.
Diagnose issues, respond to service calls, recommend improvements, and complete acceptance testing.
Participate in post‑project reviews and incorporate lessons learned.
Minimum Qualifications
Licensed Journeyman Electrician with 7+ years of commercial/industrial experience. Successful apprenticeship is required.
Seeking WY state electrical licensing in good standing or reciprocal journeyman licensing from AK, AR, CO, ID, MT, NE, NH, NM, ND, OK, OR, SD, TX, and UT.
Familiarity with data center systems, transfer schemes, switchgear, controllers, and pneumatic/electrical process controls.
Proficient reading blueprints, one‑line diagrams, risers, and electrical schematics.
Skilled with conduit bending tools, cable tray layout, device trim, and load‑bank operations.
Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills; able to work independently as required.
Must be 18+ and able to pass pre‑employment drug screen and background checks.
Physical Demands
Standing – Remaining on one’s feet in an upright position at a workstation without moving about, for extended period of time.
Walking – Moving about on foot.
Sitting – Remaining in the normal seated position for extended periods. Lifting – Raising or lowering an object (~50 lbs.) from one level to another (includes upward pulling).
Carrying – Transporting an object, usually holding it in the hands or arms, or on the shoulder, e.g., tools equipment, and materials up to 500 lbs. up to 10 feet.
Pushing – Exerting force upon an object so that the object moves away from the force (includes slapping, striking, kicking and treadle actions)
Pulling – Exerting force upon an object so that the object moves toward the forces (includes jerking).Ascending or descending ladders, lifts, stairs, scaffoldings, ramps, poles and the like. Body agility is emphasized.
Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing, crouching or running on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces.
Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires full use of the lower extremities and back muscles.
Bending legs at knees to come to rest on knee or knees.
Bending body downward and forward by bending legs and spine.
Crawl over, under and into equipment as necessary to perform job duties. Moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet.
Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
Seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with hand or hands. Fingers are involved only to the extent that they are an extension of the hand.
Picking, pinching, or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand or arm as in handling.

Work Environment

Job requires employees to wear always required personal tools and belt with them.
Work from all types of ladders, stepladders up to 14', “A” frame ladders and all size extension ladders.
Carry and relocate extension ladders up to 20' stepladders up to 12' by yourself.
Employee's personal weight with personal tools cannot exceed weight limit of ladder (Class 1 - 250 lbs. Class 1A - 300 lbs.)
Perform work at various heights, up to 50' from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks or other safe work areas.
Work in restricted areas, switchgear room, manholes, utility tunnels, crawl spaces, attics and vaults, following proper procedures.
Wear personal protective equipment, e.g., hard hats, safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, masks, and earplugs always, and when applicable, respirator.
Follow special procedures including contamination control, noise control, vibration, building systems awareness and procedures.
