Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in heavy equipment, including excavators, loaders, and backhoes.
Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
Utilize diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
Collaborate with team members to complete repairs in a timely manner.
Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed on equipment.
Communicate effectively with customers regarding service needs and recommendations.
Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in heavy equipment technology.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in diesel mechanics or related field preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a heavy equipment technician.
Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
Valid driver’s license.
Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
