
Production Supervisor (Injection Molding)

$80-88k plus OT after 45 hours

day shift (4:30am-2:30pm)
sometimes 2:30am start up is required
Mon-Fri with OT as needed

Summary
Manage injection molding department KPIs and main deliverables including a team of 30+/- associates. Ensure customer expectations are met in terms of on time delivery, and automotive injection-molded exteriors product quality. Develop a team in injection molding production, which will provide a consistently high quality product in an efficient manner. Responsible for managing the following KPIs: Safety, Scrap, Consumption, OEE, etc.
Activities
Responsible for safety, quality, cost and delivery of assigned shift
Responsible to lead team and promote teamwork to achieve objectives
Closely monitor quality levels and root cause; correcting any non-conformances
Maintain processes per the process control plans and ensure associates are following the standards
Supervise production associates
Consistently apply policies and procedures
Develop, Implement, and evaluate continuous improvement plans
Continually work to understand the customer’s requirements in terms of quality and delivery
Provide feedback to Injection Area Manager about any quality or production concerns
Develop all associates into cross-trained, high performing team members
Requirements
4+ years’ experience in automotive injection molded parts production to include technical leadership and supervision; must have solid understanding of injection molding press operation, processing, and injection molded part quality standards
Ability to deploy structured problem-solving processes in injection molding department
Good interpersonal and organizational skills, strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively motivate and hold accountable a team of 30 skilled associates and technicians
Must be a team player, flexible, and have good communication skills
Must be authorized to work in the United States, client is not able to offer sponsorship at this time
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
