Litigation Paralegal Family Law

Michelle Meulke PLLC, Titusville, FL, United States

This is a high‑responsibility role for someone who can own a case from intake through resolution — drafting pleadings, managing client relationships, and keeping complex litigation on track without constant direction. You will work directly with the attorney on matters including dissolution of marriage, timesharing, child support, equitable distribution, alimony, and termination of parental rights proceedings. Compensation: $40,000 - $65,000 yearly

Draft and review pleadings, motions, and other legal documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with court standards.

Manage client relationships by providing clear, timely communication and updates on case progress.

Coordinate and maintain case files, ensuring all documents are organized and accessible for the legal team.

Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings, trials, and meetings by gathering and organizing necessary documentation.

Conduct legal research to support case strategies and provide insights to the attorney.

Monitor and manage deadlines to ensure timely filing of documents and adherence to court schedules.

Collaborate with the legal team to develop case strategies and identify potential issues or opportunities for resolution.

Assist and complete other work as requested.

Qualifications

2+ years of paralegal experience in Florida family law — you know the statutes, the forms, and the Florida Rules of Family Law Procedure.

Demonstrated ability to independently manage a full caseload with minimal supervision.

Strong written communication and document drafting skills — attention to accuracy and detail is non‑negotiable.

Comfortable working in a fast‑paced solo practice environment where you wear multiple hats and pivot quickly.

Proficiency with case management software and the Florida Courts E‑Filing Portal; experience with Smokeball, or similar platforms, preferred.

Discretion and empathy when working with clients navigating some of the most difficult periods of their lives.
