
Radiology Technologist PRN

Job Summary
The Radiology Technologist operates standard, portable, and specialized X‑ray equipment to perform routine and semi‑complex radiographic examinations used by physicians for diagnosis and treatment.
Responsibilities
Prepare patients for radiological procedures and take x‑rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.
Develop and process films and transmit to a Radiologist for interpretation.
Administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
Ensure prompt transfer of images and documents to the PACS system (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).
Turn over and prepare room using aseptic technique between patients and clean/sterilize equipment.
Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
Qualifications
Must be a graduate of an AMA accredited program with a certificate or degree in Radiographic Technology.
Should adhere to ARRT guidelines of obtaining 24 continuing education credits bi‑annually.
Must be ARRT Registered with ARRT – RT(R) or Registry eligible (must be registered within one year of completing the program).
BCLS required within 30 days of start date.
