
School Nurse RN

We are looking for a talented School Nurse
(RN)
to join our team for the school year.
In-Person
Grade Level: 6 - 8
Estimated Caseload: Middle School, approx. 200 students
Hourly Rate Range:
$40.00 - $49.00 per hour
Responsibilities :
Provide health assessments, first aid, and emergency care for students and staff.
Administer medications and treatments per physician and school guidelines.
Monitor and manage chronic conditions such as asthma, diabetes, and allergies.
Conduct health screenings (vision, hearing, scoliosis) and report findings.
Collaborate with parents, teachers, and administrators on student health needs.
Maintain accurate health records in compliance with Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE), Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH), and HIPAA regulations.
Educate students and staff on health, hygiene, and disease prevention.
Ensure compliance with state immunization requirements and health policies.
Required Qualifications :
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (ADN/BSN) from an accredited program.
Current Illinois RN Licensure (Illinois Department of Financial & Professional Regulation - IDFPR).
Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Nurse Endorsement (required for public school nurses).
CPR and First Aid Certification.
